Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the LettuceSave mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LettuceSave ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
LettuceSave is a food waste reduction application that provides the following features: • Kitchen inventory tracking via camera scanning and manual entry • Expiration date monitoring and alerts • AI-powered recipe suggestions based on available ingredients • Shopping gap list management • Integration with grocery delivery services (Instacart, Walmart) • Meal planning and food savings tracking The App requires an internet connection to function. Some features rely on third-party AI services and may not always be available.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/password registration. You agree to: • Provide accurate and complete registration information • Maintain the security of your account credentials • Promptly update any changes to your information • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
a) Subscription Plans LettuceSave offers subscription plans ("LettuceSave Pro") that provide access to premium features. Subscription details, including pricing and features, are displayed within the App at the time of purchase. b) Billing All subscriptions are processed and billed through Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play). By subscribing, you agree to the payment terms presented at the time of purchase. c) Auto-Renewal Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. d) Cancellation You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription management settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until the end of your paid period. e) Refunds Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. For Google: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637. f) Free Trial If a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled. Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple or Google and is typically limited to one trial per account.
5. User Content & Data
a) Ownership You retain ownership of all data you input into the App, including inventory items, preferences, and any other user-generated content ("User Content"). b) License By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App's services. This license terminates when you delete your account. c) Responsibility You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. We are not responsible for decisions made based on inaccurate inventory data or expiration dates.
6. AI-Generated Content
The App uses artificial intelligence to generate recipe suggestions, meal plans, and food recognition results. You acknowledge and agree that: • AI-generated recipes and suggestions are for informational purposes only • We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or nutritional completeness of AI-generated content • AI-generated recipes may contain ingredients you are allergic to — always verify ingredients before cooking • You are solely responsible for verifying the suitability of any recipe for your dietary needs, allergies, or medical conditions • Food recognition results may be inaccurate — always verify scanned items and expiration dates • AI services may occasionally be unavailable due to third-party service disruptions
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App • Use the App to transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code • Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials or promotions • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App by automated means • Impersonate another person or entity while using the App
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, icons (including the LettuceSave mascot), and content, is owned by LettuceSave and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent. The LettuceSave name, logo, and mascot are trademarks of LettuceSave. All rights reserved.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: • The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure • The results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable • AI-generated content will be free from errors • Expiration date estimates will be precise • The App will meet your specific requirements
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LETTUCESAVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill • Food spoilage or waste • Allergic reactions or health issues resulting from AI-generated recipes • Service interruptions or data loss • Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LettuceSave, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination: • Your right to use the App ceases immediately • We may delete your account and associated data after a reasonable period • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@lettucesave.app.
13. Dispute Resolution
a) Informal Resolution Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at support@lettucesave.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. b) Governing Law These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. c) Jurisdiction Any disputes not resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
14. Third-Party Services & Links
The App may contain links to or integrations with third-party services (including Instacart, Walmart, Google, and Apple). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.
15. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top and notify you through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the App.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LettuceSave regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
